Thales Reports FOAEW Progress
Thales Sensors has submitted two mission system configurations
for the UK MoD's next-generation Future Organic Airborne Early
Warning program. The FOAEW proposals are in line with contract
timescales, and will be followed by a third and final configuration
by late June. FOAEW studies by several aerospace companies cover
a range of mission systems and platform options. Thales expects
its Active Electronic Scanned phased Array combat radar technology,
with applications for air-to-ground surveillance programs, to
provide a sound foundation for FOAEW's extended performance.
