Avionics Protection from Ametek
America's Ametek Aerospace is promoting its new Amphion
solid-state power controller (SSPC) at Le Bourget, as a small
cost-effective plug-in component that offers better local protection
features than a circuit breaker. It can be used directly in an
application circuit, or combined with other Amphion SSPC components
into a power distribution system. It protects sensors, wiring
and 28V DC data buses against shorts to ground, shorted sensors,
and overloads, to meet increased FAA, U.S. Navy and international
aviation focus on arc fault and wire protection.
