FlightSafety International (Booth 6758) reports Level D certification of its simulator for the Citation Excel business jet at the FSI Columbus Learning Center in Ohio. It's the third Excel sim in the FSI network. The host computer is a WinTel Pentium-based unit "that provides the simulator's need for massive computing power while offering the flexibility and operational convenience," FSI says, "of a mainstream commercial device." The new Excel sim has a VITAL panoramic visual display by FSI St. Louis.
