Flight Environments Makes a Noise About Quiet Simulator

Flight Environments is hoping many here will hear about its "audio flight simulator," claimed to the first in the industry.

The acoustically isolated chamber can be "flown"at NBAA on Flight Environment's all-new interactive trade show stand (Booth #5956) built by Omnigroup of Houston.

Flight Environments developed the simulator to help illustrate the effectiveness of the lightweight, easy to install acoustic and thermal insulation it makes for use in business aircraft by OEMs and completion centers.

"One challenge we've had is trying to demonstrate exactly what our product is able to do in terms of quieting corporate and VIP-configured aircraft,"company president Eamon Halpin told Show News."With the simulator we're putting people inside and letting them experience what an aircraft sounds like before and after our insulation is installed, using data from actual flight recordings. It's as close as we can get without actually flying them in a plane or helicopter."

Flight Environments is headquartered in Columbia, S.C.
