Frasca Aids Embry-Riddle Training Revolution
Frasca International scored its biggest single order this year16
flight training devices for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University,
worth $9.8 million. Most of the new FTDs will simulate Cessna
172s and Piper Seminoles, and support Embry-Riddle's integrated
flight training curriculum. Designed with the help of NASA an
the FAA, the new curriculum should make training faster, less
expensive and more effective.
A record year for Frasca also included an order for a Cessna Caravan
full flight simulator for the University of Alaska. The simulator,
with a complete display system, will be accompanied by a Frasca
142D FTD. The U.S. Air Force Academy also placed a large order
this year, for eight instrument flight trainers. Air Logistics
of New Iberia, LA, has ordered FTDs representing the Bell 407
and Bell 206.
