Envoy Orders and Completion Center Announced

Fairchild Dornier has taken orders for three Envoy 3 aircraft valued at $56 million, which brings the company's total Envoy 3 order book to 10 aircraft valued at more than $140 million.

AvCraft Jetcharter has ordered an Envoy 3 corporate shuttle and will operate the aircraft for an undisclosed Ohio-based company to support an expansion program to its new sites. They also plan to operate the aircraft on charters under Part 135 regulations.

Monterrey, Mexico-based Grupo Protexa has ordered an Envoy 3 executive jet for its multi-industry use. The company's activities include construction, aviation, air ambulance operations and tourism.

The third aircraft is another corporate shuttle, which is for an un-named customer.

Meanwhile a U.S. Envoy 3 completion center was announced here in New Orleans. Avcraft Completions of Tyler, TX, will undertake interior completions for the three versions of the Envoy 3: executive jet, business jet and corporate shuttle versions.

Fairchild Dornier is also in the process of selecting a U.S. completion center for its Envoy 7 executive jet, which is scheduled to enter service in 2004. A company representative said that Requests for Quotes have been sent out nationwide and a decision is expected early next year.

Back at Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany, the Fairchild Dornier 728Jet airliner (on which the Envoy 7 is based) is in final assembly and on schedule for a first flight in the spring

Here at the convention you can walk through full-scale mock-ups of both the Envoy 7 and Envoy 3.
