Sabreliner Sharpens Offering
Operators of Sabreliner business jets can benefit from three
new initiatives launched by the company. These programs respond
to operator requests for improved parts pricing and availability,
RVSM incentives and an inspection-only life extension program.
The company has centralized parts storage and component overhaul
at its Perryville, Missouri, operation, allowing it to reduce
the cost of hundreds of aircraft parts and decrease downtime during
many repairs.
For Sabre 65 operators, package pricing is offered on additional
work performed in conjunction with the RVSM installation. For
example, a discount is being offered until the end of this year
for installation of Honeywell's EGPWS displayed on Avidyne's Flight
Max system, or Universal's Terrain Awareness Warning System (TAWS)
displayed on the Universal MFD-640 multifunction display.
In the third initiative, Sabreliner now offers a one-time inspection-only
program that adds 2,000 hours of life to Model 40, 60 and 80 Sabreliners
having a 10,000-hour life limit. It also allows operators to combine
three-, four- or five-year inspections into a single 48-month
inspection.FAA approval of the program is expected in early 2002.
The cost is expected to be less than $50,000.
