ExxonMobil Sets Standard
With PremierCare Program
ExxonMobil Aviation, which claims the biggest single piece
of the aviation fuels market with outlets at 700 airports, has
instituted a certification system for its PremierCare training
for line-service technicians at Avitat and other Exxon-branded
FBOs.
"The general aviation community expects an extremely high
level of service," says Richard Oldham, the company's U.S.
general aviation manager. The new program will ensure the same
standards are met across the company's FBO network. "The
PremierCare Certification System is designed to help ensure that
FBO line-service technicians meet those expectations in every
respect, every time."
PremierCare includes initial training for new employees and advanced
training for experienced employees. Each level consists of eight
modules that cover such facets of the FBO business as safety,
fuels and refueling procedures, aircraft servicing, quality control,
and customer service. Classroom materials are available in both
video and CD formats, ExxonMobil says, augmented by hands-on reviews
with supervisory personnel.
Employees completing all instructional modules receive a Certificate
of Completion and a PremierCare patch that is worn on the left
sleeve of the line-service uniform.
The Initial Training badge is embellished in silver, and the Advanced
Training patch in gold.
