Burns & McDonnell Builds Lockheed Hangar

Brochure proclaims the future of diesel aviation

Aerospace architects Burns & McDonnell (Booth 6923) recently provided complete engineering, architectural and interior design services for a hangar at Lockheed Martin's corporate aviation HQ at Martin State Airport, Md. The hangar-B&M's 40th in a decade-is designed to house up to four Gulfstream V aircraft in 40,000 sq.ft. of hangar space. The facility also includes 18,000 sq.ft. of space to support the corporate flight department. In addition to reception, waiting and administrative areas, the hangar houses a full kitchen, an exercise room, a pilot lounge and a chief pilot's suite. It also features a conference room and workspaces for VIPs.
