 Lufthansa Logistik Web Debut

Lufthansa Technik Logistik (LTL) has launched its internet portal: www.lh-technik-logistik.com.

The initial 40 page website, in German and English, is basically a worldwide tracking system that was designed over a 10 week period in cooperation with Lufthansa//eCommerce. On offer is an individualized solution to supply chain management, integrated logistic services, distribution centers, material sourcing and transport management programming amongst others. The company states that customers can also download aviation related job and apprenticeship information from "a large scale data bank."

The company foresees its portal launch as the foundation of a web-based connection to future service applications. Next year LTL plan to launch a user friendly tracking system that will be available from customer workstations, which will be compatible with the company's Tracking & Tracing System, called e-Trax.

LTL is a Lufthansa Holding company, based in Hamburg, Germany, and was founded in 1998 as a subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik and Lufthansa Cargo. Since start-up four years ago, LTL has doubled its revenues to over 100 million Euros.
