CMC to Supply GPS for ACSS

Aviation Communication and Surveillance Systems (ACSS) has tapped CMC Electronics to supply new-generation GPS receivers for its new traffic and terrain collision avoidance system (T2CAS). ACCS, a division of L-3 Communications and Thales, says it selected CMC based on its "technical capabilities, extensive GPS experience and long-standing reputation for producing highly reliable avionics products." T2CAS integrates a terrain avoidance warning system and 24-channel GPS receiver within a single-line-replaceable unit. CMC Electronics was formerly known as Canadian Marconi.
