Boeing Wind Tunnel Reopens

Boeing Technology Services advises aircraft developers that it's reopened the Boeing Transonic Wind Tunnel in Seattle following "major technology upgrades to reduce cycle time and testing costs and improve data collection efficiency." Upgrades include replacement of the BTWT air exchanger with a heat exchanger providing tighter temperature spatial conformity and control and the ability to operate at lower temperatures. Free stream turbulence has been reduced too.
