CarbonAero Debuts

Adam Aircraft aims to make first deliveries of the CarbonAero sometime in 2003.

With some 37 fully refundable deposits of $25,000 in hand, Adam Aircraft Industries says it now has only three delivery positions left at $750,000. After they have gone, the price for the CarbonAero will go up again.

The prototype six-place piston twin is due to make its debut here in New Orleans (Booth 7716). The next major milestone for Adam Aircraft is to fly a conforming prototype some time next summer. The first parts have already been constructed, and work is proceeding on the composite fuselage.

The CarbonAero features a carbon composite structure, glass cockpit and single power-lever engines.
