New Mercury 'Easy Trip' Card Allows One-Stop Spending

Mercury Air Centers has teamed up with GE Capital Financial and Aviation Logistics (AvLog) and is now offering a business aviation MasterCard purchasing program called "Mercury Easy Trip."

"The 'Mercury Easy Trip' card is designed to replace the multi-service cards by providing you with one tool that can be used at more than 20 million locations" said John Enticknap, Mercury Air Center's COO.

The card is designed for transactions at any FBO that accepts MasterCard. It can be used for services such as aircraft maintenance, charter, lease payments, hotel rooms, meals, car rentals or any transaction an operator could need.

In addition, the "Easy Billing" program, developed by GE Capital Financial, is one option that operators could use to aid in posting transaction details directly to a Travel and Expense department's ledgers.

"By using our system, the pilots don't have to fumble around with receipts and filing reports," said Jesse Gonzalez, vice president of GE Capital Financial. "Within 48 hours all the transactions that were made on the card will be posted to the operators general ledger system, allowing them to edit the data directly into their accounting system."

Other features of the card include a 30-day billing cycle and online access.
