Rosen Shows Live TV Thanks to Honeywell
Rosen Products has completed the integration of Honeywell's OneView
AIS-1000 Airborne Information System into its Cabin Entertainment
System (CES). With the integration of the OneView, Rosen will
have the capability to provide CES customers with over 60 channels
of direct broadcast satellite television from which domestic business
passengers can choose, in addition to the system's existing offerings.
"OneView in conjunction with our Cabin Entertainment System
is an excellent match that will enhance the business passenger
experience tremendously by offering today's full realm of entertainment
options," said Ken Klarfeld, Rosen's director of business
development.
"Passengers will now be able to check the news or weather,
watch movies, and keep up with their favorite sports teams while
on board."
Rosen's CES is the first totally integrated, fully controllable
entertainment system that is completely separate from aircraft
cabin management systems. Answering the need for a single source
supplier, the system consists of an Audio/Video Distribution Unit
(AVDU), DVD, VCP and CD players and TouchScreen monitors. It
has room for up to 16 stereo audio and video inputs, and 16 stereo
audio and video outputs. Using the Rosen TouchScreen monitor or
IR remote, passengers can easily control all of their OneView
integration with CES entertainment for themselves, or for the
entire cabin.
