Brantly Eyes Infrastructure-Poor China

China is viewed as a nearly perfect market for Brantly's economical B-2B.

Texas' Brantly International sees China, a country with a fast-expanding economy and little infrastructure, as a nearly perfect market for its B-2B, which at $150,000 a copy is said to be the lowest-priced, three-blade, fully certified helicopter in the world.

Brantly is urging Chinese officials to structure their airspace with a system of airports surrounded by feeder heliports, promoting feeders as a cheaper choice than large airports.

"It takes less land to build a high-volume heliport than it does to make a high-volume airport," says Brantly VP George Stokes.

Helicopter aviation is one key to quick economic development, he says.
