Schweizer and Kawada Team on a Turbine UAV
The Schweizer-Kawada Robocopter 300 UAV.

Volcano research and coast guard work are possible missions for the Robocopter 300, a turbine UAV developed by New York's Schweizer Helicopter and Japan's Kawada Industries. Kawada is providing the unmanned aircraft's control system and will handle sales in Japan.

The Robocopter is a derivative of Schweizer's 300C, complementing the VTUAV drone Schweizer builds for Northrop Grumman. It employs the same cambered airfoil blade as the Schweizer 333, and according to current company president Paul Schweizer led to the development of the 333 from the 330.
