ShowNews Domestic/International Mechanical Requirements
SHOW NEWS is saddle-stitched. Stock weight is 70-lb. gloss. Black and white and 2-color materials: Screened film (International shows, positives/US shows, negatives), to size right reading, emulsion side down, 120-line screen, are required for best reproduction. Camera-ready copy with all elements in position is acceptable. In the case of 2-color, material must be color-separated. Conversion material is also acceptable, such as scotchprints and original unmounted plates; conversions will be billed at cost.

Furnished Insert Specifications: Check publication for mechanical specifications, quantity needed and shipping instructions.

Photos to be stripped in are billed to advertiser, as well as film or any additional work involved to complete preparation of ad.

To ensure quality, publisher requests 1-and 2-color proofs pulled on 70-lb. stock to accompany all material. Proofs must be 5% heavier than film. 4-color and cover materials: supply color-corrected screened film (International shows, positives/US shows, negatives) to size right-read, emulsion side down. 133-line screen. Yellow-Red-Blue-Black on 70 lb. stock. The density of ink coverage should be no greater than 250% for all 4-color ads.

All films will be held three months from the date of publication and then will be destroyed unless otherwise requested in writing.

Frequency rates are based on total combined ShowNews insertions, one or more shows. Or, if more favorable to the advertiser, the highest frequency rate in any Aviation Week publication can be used for ShowNews frequency rate level (highest ShowNews frequency 18x).
