Breeze Makes the Electric Aftermarket

Spain's Aeronautica Industrial has selected HS-29900 rescue hoists from Breeze-Eastern for the Spanish Army's CH-47D Chinook helicopters, marking the first aftermarket installation of a high-performance electric hoist on the aircraft type.

Aeronautica Industrial has responsibility for mounting hardware, hoist system integration and certification, and will market the HS-29900 to Chinook operators worldwide. Such aircraft generally have Breeze-Eastern hydraulic hoists, the New Jersey company said here.

On the commercial side, Breeze-Eastern has named Woodbury, NY-based Transaero as exclusive stocking distributor for aftermarket cargo hook assemblies, and Acro Aerospace of British Columbia as its first cargo hook service facility.

Breeze-Eastern is hosting an airborne hoist user conference this morning in room 209A of the convention center.
