FAA to Release Aeromedical Pilot Video

FAA gave an advanced showing of its latest safety video, "Pressure Points," Aeromedical Helicopter Pilot Decision Making. Available for general distribution in April, the video presents four scenarios illustrating pressures that can be placed on a pilot when conditions are not favorable to continue the mission. The intention of the FAA is that aeromedical helicopter pilots, crews and hospital staff use this video as a training tool to identify how pressure can be unknowingly placed on the pilot. The video is formatted in a "trigger" style presentation, which allows situational review followed by session leader discussions from the printed leader's guide.
