The Mexican government has purchased three Robinson helicopters-an R44 Clipper and two float-equipped R22 Mariners-for the Mexican Navy, the manufacturer reports. The R44 was intended to be a trainer, but became so popular for officer transport that the south-of-the-border service ordered a pair of R22s to fulfill the training mission.
