Helicopter Technology to Produce Blades for MD Helicopters

MD Helicopters has signed a multi-year agreement with Helicopter Technology Company to produce rotor blades for its entire line of single-engine helicopters. Shipment of aftermarket blades is performed by HTC, although sales of the blades will be handled by MDHI directly. In addition, HTC will increase its limited warranty from 1,000 hours or one year, to 2,000 hours or two years. HTC will also perform fatigue tests on the blade, which the company said should result in increased service life of the main blades.
