Polytech Scans Opportunity
for U.S. Surveillance Market

Kelvin 275 on show

Polytech, the Sweden-based leading supplier of advanced airborne video surveillance systems, has established a U.S. office in Falls Church, VA.

The new sales organization will market the Polytech product line of high performance infrared and video data-acquisition systems for law enforcement and scientific and condition-monitoring applications.

The company-exhibiting at Heli-Expo in Booth 1922-already has a large base of installed systems on six continents, including the U.S.

Products on show here include the Kelvin and White Star combinations of high performance forward looking infrared camera and video recorder in a gimballed turret for mounting beneath the helicopter. Different models are tailored for simplicity and reliability, as in law enforcement, or for more specialized tasks such as power line inspection and oil spill detection.

All gimbals are gyro-stabilized, and images can be stored digitally on the onboard computer with GPS coordinates.
