Caravan Eyes Russia

Cessna Grand Caravan will benefit from easing of single-engine restrictions.
Cessna's highly successful Grand Caravan utility aircraft comes to EBACE with a substantial sales boost to Europe in prospect. Cessna's regional sales manager Europe and Russia, Brian Willett, told Show News that he is within months of inking a deal to sell at least 10 Caravans to Russia. He is also excited by the prospect of approval for commercial single-engine IFR operations by Europe's Joint Aviation Authorities. That move could spur immediate sales of 20 or more Caravans for cargo operations in the region.

Cessna booked a record 125 orders for Caravans last year. The worldwide fleet of its single-turbine workhorses exceeds 1,200, with more than 4.5 million fleet hours logged.
