Greg Evans taking the leadership role at Universal Weather is seen
by those who know him as much more than just stepping into his father's
shoes.
In 1959, Tom Evans, the founder of Universal Weather and Aviation,
Inc., saw a need-weather briefings specifically for business pilots
worldwide-and set about satisfying it. Forty-two years later, Universal
has grown from a weather briefing service to a leading provider
of international flight support services with one of the industry's
largest networks of offices and affiliates on virtually every continent.
On January 22, 2001 Greg Evans became sole shareholder, president
and CEO of Universal, continuing the legacy of fulfilling the needs
of the customer. Since 1979, Greg has held various positions in
marketing, sales and flight operations. Past responsibilities include
the development of Universal's International Network and its expansion
into Europe, Russia/CIS and the Far East; enhancing Universal's
leadership position in International Flight Support Services; and
setting the direction to bring Universal "on-line" with
the introduction of UVtriplink. Most recently, he has been the architect
of the corporation's "Master Organizational Plan," providing
key leadership and direction for thefuture. Evans and his team are
here at EBACE in Booth 7483.
