Universal Weather Forecasts Good Flight With New CEO

Greg Evans taking the leadership role at Universal Weather is seen by those who know him as much more than just stepping into his father's shoes.

In 1959, Tom Evans, the founder of Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc., saw a need-weather briefings specifically for business pilots worldwide-and set about satisfying it. Forty-two years later, Universal has grown from a weather briefing service to a leading provider of international flight support services with one of the industry's largest networks of offices and affiliates on virtually every continent.

On January 22, 2001 Greg Evans became sole shareholder, president and CEO of Universal, continuing the legacy of fulfilling the needs of the customer. Since 1979, Greg has held various positions in marketing, sales and flight operations. Past responsibilities include the development of Universal's International Network and its expansion into Europe, Russia/CIS and the Far East; enhancing Universal's leadership position in International Flight Support Services; and setting the direction to bring Universal "on-line" with the introduction of UVtriplink. Most recently, he has been the architect of the corporation's "Master Organizational Plan," providing key leadership and direction for thefuture.
