Jet Aviation Trumpets Aviance

Zurich's Jet Aviation is talking up a new ground handling alliance dubbed Aviance, formed earlier this year with five other companies here in Geneva. The partnership is designed to let operators secure ground services at 34 locations in seven countries with minimal negotiation hassles behind the signing of multi-location contracts.

Besides Jet Aviation, the Aviance partners are Alyzia Airport Services of France, Celebi Ground handling of Turkey, Euro Handling of Spain, GHI of the United Kingdom and Laufer Aviation of Israel.

"It is a gain for all participants," said Urs Zorn, GM of Jet Aviation Handling AG in Zurich. Individual Aviance members remain independent, but "benefit from each other's local knowledge," Jet Aviation says. "Airline companies will benefit from joint quality and safety systems aimed at creating the highest standards of client services," said Zorn.

Aviance offers passenger, ramp and cargo services, as well as ground handling, on a common-contract basis.
