Honeywell, TTTech for TTP

Honeywell said this month it will use the high-speed, high bandwidth Timed Triggered Protocol databus for its new line of APEX integrated cockpits for general aviation aircraft and helicopters. The five-megabits-per-second TTP databus will be implemented jointly with Austria's TTTech AG. TTP is a safety enhancement allowing transmission of key flight information, including data from attitude, heading and air data sensor system, radios, flight controls and safety systems, as well as from non-essential systems.
