Airline Fares Boost Bizav
Increases in airline fares over the past year have put chartered
business aircraft within reach of more travelers, says Washington-based
Skyjet, the online booking service for business jets, citing figures
from Harrell Associates of New York. The Harrell study shows that
full coach and first class fares increased by 16% and 22% respectively
to January 2001, while the corresponding increase in air charter
prices was just 3%. "Comparing charter prices with high-cost
airline routes shows charter can be a better buy when four or
more executives fly together," said Skyjet founder and CEO
Trevor Cornwell.
