Gulfstream IV-SP NG?

Speculation arising from Rolls-Royce's revelation at EBACE that an upgraded and enhanced, FADEC-equipped version of its Tay turbofan "has been selected to power the next generation Gulfstream IV-SP" might be followed by an announcement from the airframer has proved to be ill-founded.

Gulfstream Aerospace vice-chairman Brian Moss told Show News that the company is not ready to launch a new model. "There's nothing new in the Rolls-Royce statement," he said. "We've ordered the engines, but we're not about to announce a new GIV-SP." At present, then, there appears to be no application for the upgraded Tays in the disclosed Gulfstream line-up.
