GV-SP PlaneView Test Craft Slated to Fly Later This Year

The new Gulfstream V-SP is to have an advanced cockpit dubbed PlaneView.

Development of the next-generation Gulfstream V-SP has passed major milestones with the start of the flight test aircraft modification program and initiation of the installation process for the aircraft's advanced PlaneView cockpit suite.

Modification of the first test article aircraft began earlier this year and is on track for first flight in the fourth quarter. This aircraft will be the primary certification platform for PlaneView.

The first GV-SP test article is one of three airframes that will be used in the flight test and certification program. Two will be modified GVs incorporating some of the GV-SP's new systems and airframe enhancements. The third aircraft, to be completed next year, will be a fully production-configured GV-SP.
