BBA Stamps Its Signature on the European Map
Dallas Airmotive plans BR710 work. |
EBACE marks the first public rollout of the British BBA Group's
new branding structure, which brings some order and name recognition
to a rapidly growing empire that includes Signature, the largest
chain of FBOs in the world, and a major maintenance capability.
Signature Flight Support, based in Orlando, Florida, recently added
the Lynton Aviation FBOs at London Luton and London City airports,
as well as the Air Luxor FBO at Paris Le Bourget and Osprey Aviation
at Southampton. All are now branded Signature as BBA continues to
look for further expansion in Europe. Signature London Luton is
the busiest FBO in Europe, clocking up 12,500 business aircraft
movements last year.
CSE Citation Center is now part
of BBA's Signature. |
The Signature brand now encompasses CSE Aviation at Oxford, which
in 1999 bought the IDS Citation Center aircraft maintenance company
at Bournemouth. Now in new premises, it is the only service center
in Europe except for Cessna's own Le Bourget facility that specializes
only in Citations. Its new hangar, which can accommodate up to seven
Citations at a time, is shared by BBA Group company Dallas Airmotive,
which specializes in the PWC JT15D engines that power many Citations,
as well as PT6 turboprops as well.
Signature Aircraft Engineering also has business jet maintenance
facilities at London Luton and Oxford. All are represented here
at EBACE on Booth 7254.
