AirBP Pumps Up Its Website As It Seeks a Broader Reach
Connecting with biz pilots is a priority for AirBP CEO Peter
Ragauss. |
Air BP's new corporate identity and vibrant green, white and yellow
sunburst logo represents a strengthened commitment to aviation,
according to CEO Peter Ragauss. The "Helios" logo was
introduced to corporate aviation at last October's NBAA, and it
is predominant here at EBACE, too.
The company already provides aviation fuel services at more than
600 locations in the U.S., and at over 1,400 locations in 90 countries
around the world. It plans next to strengthen its presence in South
America, and in airport operations, Ragauss says.
But it is still working hard to differentiate itself in what most
see as a "commodity" business for jet fuel.
Here at EBACE it is talking about increased services, especially
computer-based, and a relaunch of an updated Sterling Card.
While the Flightneeds.com website in which Air BP is a partner with
Jeppesen and other companies has been up and running for a while
in the U.S., Air BP has recognized the need to beef up its own Website
service for pilots.
"AirBP.com has one-stop shopping, with Sterling price information,
tax and technical information. But there's a lot yet that needs
to be added, such as trip planning and flight services," international
card manager Paul Lantero told Show News. He sees Flightneeds.com
and AirBP.com as complementary, not competitive.
AirBP and Jeppesen are sharing Booth 7086 here at EBACE.
