Pro Line 21 Looks Ahead -- and Behind -- With Retrofits

Collins Pro Line 21 equips Bombardier's Continental.

The integrated flight deck of the future is not just for new aircraft, but can be retrofitted to older models too, according to Rockwell Collins (here at Booth 7013).

Big news for Collins at EBACE is the unveiling today of the Hawker 800XP with a complete ProLine 21 flight deck system replacing the Honeywell avionics on the current model. A mockup is on view at Raytheon's stand # 7276.

Pro Line 21 is already certified on the Citation CJ1 and CJ2, and the Raytheon Premier 1. Pro Line 21 hardware has been delivered for the Bombardier Continental, which is due to fly in the near future.
Collins has had considerable success with Pro Line 21 Continuum in the aftermarket, and the components that make up the system, which is celebrating its European launch at EBACE.

Since NBAA last October, Collins has certified the GII and GIII aircraft with its FDS 2000; aims to certify the Challenger 600 in May or June with a five display system with AHARS 3000, TCAS 4000 and a PL 21 radio/CNS package and weather/turbulence radar; hopes to certify this summer the Citation III with a three display FDS 2000; and by end of the year the Falcon 50 with four 10x8-inch displays and related equipment.
