Messier Services and SIAEC in
Landing Gear Joint Venture

Asian Aerospace 2000 -- Messier Services and SIA Engineering have signed a letter of intent to establish a repair and overhaul facility devoted to Boeing (including McDonnell Douglas) and Airbus landing gear. Messier Services is jointly owned by Messier-Bugatti and Messier-Dowty (both members of the Snecma group) while SIAEC is wholly-owned by Singapore Airlines. The new agreement will see Messier Services sell 40% of its Messier Services Asia company, based at Loyang, to SIAEC. MSA is currently expanding its facility with the aim of becoming the first in the Asia Pacific region capable of handling Airbus A330 and A340 plus Boeing 777 landing gear.
