Turbomeca's First 60 Years

Asian Aerospace 2000 -- As part of the French Labinal group, Turbomeca is here at Changi with a background of producing nearly 48,000 small and medium power gas turbines, which have accumulated some 70 million operating hours, in over 60 years of the company's existence. Mostly tailored for helicopters, Turbomeca's turboshaft engines cover the power range from 450- to 3,000-shp with the Arrius, Arriel, TM 333, Makila, and the jointly produced MTR 390 and RTM 322 families.

In 1998, Turbomeca produced over 800 engines, and repaired or overhauled 1,200 more. At Asian Aerospace, Turbomeca is showing the widely-used Arrius 2B1, Arriel 2B, RTM 322-selected for the EH 101 and NH-90 helicopters-and the Makila, powering Eurocopter's Super Puma and Cougar helicopter family.
