Le Portz Appointed to Head Messier-Dowty International

Asian Aerospace 2000 -- Messier-Dowty International, the world's leading source of landing gear design, development and manufacture, has appointed a new Chairman and CEO, effective from 1 February. He is Louis Le Portz, who left his position as VP of Industrial and Customer Services at Thomson-CSF, to take over from Dominique Paris. He leaves Messier-Dowty to join Snecma as its new Chairman and CEO. Le Portz has had a long and varied career within the French aerospace industry, having served with SEREB (the national ballistic missile research agency), Crouzet and Thomson-CSF.
