Hamilton Sundstrand Launches Joint Venture in China

Asian Aerospace 2000 -- Xiamen Sundstrand Qinling Aerospace Ltd., a joint venture between Hamilton Sundstrand and Shaanxi Qinling Aeroelectric Company, opens a 2,600-square-meter facility at Xiamen's Aviation City Industrial Complex on Friday.

The company will provide airlines in China with complete overhaul and repair services for Hamilton Sundstrand electric power, which equips most of the Boeing (including McDonnell Douglas) and Airbus airliners in the region. The facility is expected to expand to 4,200 square meters over the next few years to support continuing airline growth and increasing customer support requirements in China. Staff currently number about 20, but will grow to 30 within five years.
