Day 2

Schroth Opens Florida Factory

Safety restraint manufacturer Schroth (Booth 2822) has opened an 8,000-square-foot factory in Pompano Beach, FL. The new facility will handle all of the German company's North American orders for specialty and lift-lever buckle harnesses.

Schroth has hired aircraft interior specialists including Jeff Schlueter from B/E Aerospace (formerly Aircraft Modular Products) and Ron Grilliot, who worked for B/E and for Gulfstream and Bombardier Learjet.

"With our aviation interior expert team in place, production of our specialty harnesses and new lift-lever buckle will begin this fall," said Schroth president Wolf Ebel.

Schroth moved U.S. administrative offices from Boulder, CO to Florida this past July.

The company provides safety restraints to customers including Airbus, Boeing, Cessna, MD Helicopters, Gulfstream, Bell Helicopters and Piper Aircraft. Technological advances include lightweight Regressive Force Release rotary buckles restraints for side-facing seats and 16g situation. Schroth products are both FAA and JAA approved.
