Primus FMS 6.0 Nearly Ready

Honeywell is ready to bring improved flight management systems software to its Primus 1000 and Primus 2000 integrated avionics systems.

Version 6.0 of its FMS software is expected to be approved in 60 to 90 says.

"The CD-820 along with version 6.0 adds more than a dozen new capabilities" to the Honeywell NZ-2000 FMS and the FMS functions of the two Primus systems," the company says.

Among the new features are a new PC data loader, a strategic terrain mode that works with Honeywell's enhanced ground proximity warning system, a standby power down feature, "steerable" viewing angles, a video capability, finger holds, storage space for 3,000 flight plans, satellite detection and an infrared port.
