New NBAA Training Guidelines Given Out Here
Copies of NBAA's new NBAA Automated Flight Deck Training Guidelines
will be available at meetings slated for today and Thursday.
The new publication sets forth the association's recommended minimums
for satisfying and initial automated flight deck training program.
They were developed by the FMS/Charting subcommittee of NBAA's
Airspace/Air Traffic committee.
The association points out that the Guidelines don't say
how advanced flight deck training is to be implemented, as "each
training provider must determine the most effective and efficient
method to meet the objectives presented."
Besides being mailed to NBAA members after the gathering here
in New Orleans, the Guidelines will be handed out at the
Spring 2000 Severe Weather Program meeting this afternoon, and
at the Airspace/Air Traffic committee meeting on Thursday morning.
