For the first time, a pavilion and conference dedicated to Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) will be offered in conjunction with the International Aerospace Exhibition in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The one-day conference on ISTAR will be held on November 3, 2001, a day before the start of the air show, which runs November 4-8. The ISTAR pavilion will be one of two exhibition halls at the Dubai Airport Expo. It will have its own facilities and press office. The UAE government has given its official approval for the event and will actively participate in it.
