Messier-Bugatti Pulls Out the Stops for
Air Portugal's A319/A320s

TAP Air Portugal has awarded Messier-Bugatti a 10-year contract to supply wheels and carbon brakes for its fleet of 28 Airbus A319 and A320 twinjets. Messier-Dowty already was the provisional supplier of wheels and brakes for 16 of the airline's A319s and six A320s. Messier-Bugatti's Sepcarb III-Plus carbon brakes are the most economical brakes of this type on the market today, according to the Franco-British manufacturer. These brakes now are fitted on 54% of the A319 and A320 fleet, and account for 66% of airlines selecting these aircraft.
