The German IT charter airline LTU has selected the PW4000 turbofan to power its new Airbus A330s. In May, LTU disclosed an order for seven extended-range A300-200s, adding to its existing fleet of seven A330-300s and six 767-300ERs. All of LTU's aircraft rely on Pratt & Whitney engines. The new A330s will each be powered by two PW4168s, rated at 68,000 lbs of thrust. The same engines are also fitted to LTU's A330-300s, while its 767s are powered by PW4062s.
