Dowty's NCI Machining
Ever More Complex Parts for GE and for Rolls

NCI, a subsidiary of Britain's Dowty group which machines turbine engine components in North Carolina, is succeeding in pursuing orders for more complex machining operations than it has previously handled. Its major customer, GE, has recently placed a number of multi-million dollar contracts that include an order for "extremely difficult rotor seals" for the big GE90 turbofan and upgraded CF6 engines. Pursuing a parallel policy of expanding its customer base, NCI recently became an approved Rolls-Royce supplier, and is delivering machined components for the RR Trent and IAE V2500 engines.
