Smiths to Fuel 428JET

Fairchild Dornier and its partner IAI have awarded Smith Industries Aerospace a contract to supply the fuel gauging level sensing system for the Fairchild Dornier 428JET regional jet. The new FGLSS is derived from that developed for the 328JET. Deliveries will begin in spring 2001. As part of the 428JET's integrated fuel system, the FGLSS provides fuel quantity indicating, ground refueling, low-level warning and high level shut-off functions.
