Aeromanager

Rolls-Royce is starting trials of aeromanager, the company's new e-business portal. Under test by a group of airline users, aeromanager is the latest product from Data Systems and Solutions, a 50:50 joint venture between Rolls-Royce and Science Applications International Corporation of San Diego. Data Systems & Solutions was formed last year.

One of the new features of aeromanager is enginedatacenter.com. This is an internet gateway customized to the needs of each engine operator, which allows the operator to access the entire Data Systems and Solutions suite of engine information systems, including predictive maintenance tools. Rolls-Royce expects that most Rolls-Royce customers will use the service.

The aeromanager portal will also offer access to leasing services, surplus inventories and technical publications.
