LTU Chooses Pratt & Whitney PW4000 for New Fleet of Airbus A330s

German IT charter airline LTU has selected the PW4000 turbofan to power its new Airbus A330s. In May, LTU disclosed an order for seven extended-range A300-200s, adding to its existing fleet of seven A330-300s and six 767-300ERs. All of LTU's aircraft rely on Pratt & Whitney engines. The new A330s will each be powered by two PW4168s, rated at 68,000 lbs of thrust. The same engines are also fitted to LTU's A330-300s, while its 767s are powered by PW4062s.
