Pratt & Whitney is achieving new levels of information flow among its customers via web-based data management. The firm's "#1 Reliability" website provides a wide range of engine fleet management data that can be instantaneously shared and customized, anywhere in the world. The available integrated information packages range from product upgrades, which can be tailored for specific fleets, to best maintenance procedures or routine parts ordering.

Each #1 Reliability customer is to have its own dedicated pages that summarize data for an entire engine fleet down to detailed tracking of each engine in that fleet. Since its inception in 1998 the Internet-driven #1 Reliability program has been credited with delivering a 15% improvement in in-flight shutdown rates and unscheduled shop visits for Pratt & Whitney's 17,000 commercial engines.
