BAE Systems Reports Additional Leases of BAe 146

CityJet, British European and Titan Airways have agreed to lease BAe 146 regional jets from BAE Systems, expanding the use of the four-engine regional jet aircraft.

Air France-owned CityJet of Dublin has agreed to take two BAe 146-200s on a long-term lease. The first aircraft is to be delivered in July, with the second scheduled for October. The aircraft will augment CityJet's fleet of six BAe 146s used on routes between Ireland to the UK and in conjunction with Air France services.

British European, also an established BAe 146 user, will lease one more of the 200 series aircraft starting in 2001. It also extended the lease terms on one of the aircraft it already has in service.
Thirdly, Titan Airways, which operates from London-Stansted, is leasing a BAe 146-200QC under long-term arrangement. The aircraft is to be delivered in July and will supplement two of the same type aircraft the airline operates.
