Gregory Hamilton, President/Group Publisher

Gregory Hamilton is President/Group Publisher of Aviation Week. Prior to this role, Greg served as Publisher, Strategic Media at Aviation Week, where he launched the group's events business and expanded it globally. He also advanced Aviation Week's information and media portfolio across the civil and government aerospace and defense industries, having served as Publisher of Defense Technology International and ShowNews and Co-Publisher of local-language media, including International Aviation (China) and Air Transport Observer (Russia/CIS). Greg remains Publisher of Business & Commercial Aviation and Overhaul & Maintenance.

In his 28 years with The McGraw-Hill Companies, Greg has worked in all facets of information and media, including editorial, sales, marketing, communications and new product development across digital, print and event platforms. He also has extensive international experience and has developed global partnerships and products in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. He holds bachelor's degrees in journalism and economics from the University of Missouri.

Anne McMahon, Vice President, Data/Analytics & Marketing

Anne is responsible for the product and audience development for Aviation Week’s online products and services, including the Aviation Week Intelligence Network (AWIN), MRO Prospector and AviationWeek.com. In this role, she guides the overall strategic direction and implementation of digital product initiatives for these leading brands as well as the efficiencies and innovation required to continuously meet customer needs. She also oversees all marketing activities for the group including communication, branding, audience engagement, customer insight and service, direct-response and search marketing. She works closely with sales and technology to leverage customer input to strengthen the product portfolio and overall communication strategy.

With over 20 years in the media industry, Anne has extensive product and marketing experience primarily focused in b-to-b information & media. In addition, Anne has led many projects using business process and change management to increase efficiencies in execution and overall ROI. Prior to joining Aviation Week, Anne held positions focused on audience development and database marketing at Lebhar Friedman and The Economist. She has a B.S. in marketing from the University of Scranton and an MBA in marketing from Fordham University Business School.

Joseph C. Anselmo, Editor-In-Chief

Joe Anselmo became Editor-in-Chief of Aviation Week & Space Technology on Jan. 1, 2013. Previously, he was managing editor of a global team of senior editors and senior business editor, writing the magazine's weekly Up Front commentary. Based in Washington, Joe joined Aviation Week in 1993 as a space reporter for the Aerospace Daily newsletter and was named AW&ST's space technology reporter two years later. He left in 2000 for jobs at the Washington Post Co. and Congressional Quarterly, returning to AW&ST in 2004 as business editor. In that position, he covered a broad expanse of the aerospace and defense industry in the U.S., Europe, Asia-Pacific and Latin America. Joe has won three Aerospace Journalist of the Year awards for his reporting. A graduate of Ohio University, he was elected three times to the National Press Club's Board of Governors and served as board chairman.

Rich Celestino, Senior Director IT

Rich is responsible for the strategic and tactical guidance and implementation of information technology supporting the web and print businesses of Aviation Week. Rich has over 30 years experience in IT and has held several executive level positions in Fortune 500 companies, including The McGraw-Hill Companies, Digital Equipment Corp., Chase and ATT Wireless. Rich developed his interest in aviation early in his career as the team leader in the development and systems integration efforts that produced the inertial navigation system for the F-16 fighter during his employment with Singer Aerospace and Marine division.

Hing Lee, Senior Director of Finance

Prior to joining Aviation Week, Hing held finance and controller positions at McGraw-Hill Construction, Macmillan/McGraw-Hill and the Information & Media segment. Hing began his career in public accounting at KPMG and later worked in business development at NBC, where he helped launch the financial website CNBC.com. He is a certified public accountant and holds a BBA from Pace University and an MBA from Columbia University.

Lydia Janow, Director of Events & Tradeshows

Lydia F. Janow, CMP is Director, Events, for Aviation Week, a division of The McGraw-Hill Companies.  She has been with the company for over 20 years, responsible for all wholly-owned events.  From 1991 – 1995, she was responsible for managing the presence of Aviation Week at domestic and international tradeshows (30-40 annually) and coordinated 2 conferences.  From 1995 to the present, she has grown the event department to a global operation with attendees ranging from 20 to over 8,000 worldwide. 

Ms. Janow has been a meeting planner for over 30 years, experienced in all phases of meeting planning including corporate, association, hotel and for-profit organizations. From 1989-1991 she was Convention Services Manager at a Sheraton Hotel.  From 1986-1988 she was Manager of Meetings and Events at Magazine Publishers Association.  She started her career as an Administrative Assistant in 1978 and subsequently promoted to Special Events Manager for a national syndicated publication, Family Weekly. She has planned all facets of special events, seminars, incentive programs, sales meetings, conferences & exhibitions and tradeshows. 

Ms. Janow holds a BA in Liberal Arts from the City College of New York, 1978 and graduated Cum Laude and Dean's List.  She is Listed in Marquis Who's Who of American Women, 1993 edition; Listed in Marquis Who’s Who in Finance, 2006 edition; Listed in Marquis Who's Who in the East, 25th Silver Edition; Listed in International Biographical Centre World Who's Who of Women, 11th edition; Profiled in Convention South magazine, “Meeting Professionals to Watch in 2005”.  She is happily married to Gerard Caramico, a Project Manager for Motorola Solutions.

Katie Taplett, Publisher, Defense, Space & Security

Katie Taplett is the Publisher, Defense, Space and Security and was most recently the Defense Sales director at Aviation Week and is based in Washington, D.C.

In this position, Ms. Taplett is responsible for business growth in defense, space and security across Aviation Week's media portfolio and is the publisher of Defense Technology International, as well as the associate publisher, Defense, Space and Security for Aviation Week & Space Technology.

Ms. Taplett joined Aviation Week in 2005 as national account manager for Aviation Week & Space Technology. Prior to joining Aviation Week, she was the U.S. advertising sales director at Jane's Information Group and held several positions at IDG for COMPUTERWORLD over a 13 year period. Ms. Taplett holds bachelor's degrees in public relations and marketing from the University of Massachusetts.

Iain Blackhall, Managing Director, Civil Aviation

Iain Blackhall is Managing Director, Civil Aviation, for Aviation Week. Blackhall is responsible for business growth across Aviation Week's global multimedia portfolio for the commercial aviation and MRO sectors, including digital and print publications, events and products. He is also associate publisher, civil, for Aviation Week & Space Technology. Blackhall was previously Managing Director, EMEA, with Aviation Week. He has extensive experience in international market development and a strong track record for growing Aviation Week's brand, products and sales in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. He has a keen understanding of our customers around the globe, is digitally focused, and drives revenue.

Iain joined Aviation Week in 2007. Previously, he was group managing director at the Shephard Group and has held several positions in digital and publishing companies over the past two decades. He holds a bachelor’s degree in management development from the University of Leicester.
